I had a similar experience years ago in a Polish shoe store, where I was asked by a sales person to not take any pictures of the merchandise when I just wanted to show a picture of some shoes I planned to buy to a friend later. Needless to say, I didn't go back and purchase the shoes there because of their attitude towards customers.

This is quite normal in Poland unfortunately, and especially among overzealous security guards who feel they need to defend the place, company or people they are guarding from any threat real or imagined.
